I don't feel he lied about wanting to Change things in Washington..I think he was naive to think Republicans in Congress would work with him simply because he won the Presidency.

I think the Fact that Republicans voted against 99% of everything he wanted shocked him....It made it difficult for him to Govern but he still got a lot of good things done....

He's no different than all the candidates for Congress who declare what they're going to get done, then get to D.C. and find out it doesn't work that way.

Our federal government was meant to be a system with checks and balances, but it was always dependent on the availability of statesmen, people who will put their constituents and country first, ahead of self and party. There aren't many of those around.

Neither foreigners nor Obama thinks of the US as weak or secondary. Foreigners won't assent to the kind of megalomaniacal triumphalist nonsense that Bush doled out for 8 empty and irrelevant wasted years. But that does not mean we wish ill upon the States, or its interests, which are largely shared, or that we don't like American excellence.

However when Americans espouse your sort of mindset "if you don't grovel and bow at our feet as Teh Most Excellent Country Ever Possible™ then you must hate us" we neither hate you, nor respect you; we pity you and your delusions of grandeur. It's a multilateral world. We're glad to see you play an important role, befitting your country's excellence. AN, not THE.

Chance, respectively give the man a break. Campaign slogans are just slogans, not "promises", a sentiment, I guess of how the candidate feels, maybe, who knows.

Being a candidate is one thing but being President and sitting in the Oval Office with the burdens of the nation and world on your shoulders is quite another.

Show me one Presential slogan that was fulfilled as you seem to expect them to be with President Obama.

GW -- 2004: Yes We Can; he had 4 in 2000: 1) Compassionate Convervatism(what a load); 2) Leave no child behind (how did that work out for him); 3) Real Plans for Real People (don't even know what that means in this context); 4) Reformer with results (yeah he had results alright, drove us right off a cliff)

Could go back to other years but they are all the same -- slogans with no meaning.

Bill Clinton may have come the closest to having reality meet his slogan: Building a bridge to the 21st Century.

As a 20 year old, I look at it like this.....which candidate is the lesser of the two evils? Obama wants to spend money and Romney wants you to pay more money (taxes). As a college student they don't speak about financial aid and the real problem with the debt of financial aid nor changes into the fundamental challenges of it. Same candidate different party. Whoever wins, will not get anything done anyway and bitch at the other party for not getting their agenda through. Same horse shit.
