The wind here is more than 30 miles an hour..with gusts up to 70. HOpefully we won't get blown away.

look its a witch on a bicycle....

yeah its windy down here too
and rainy and cold it is suppose to get down to 40 degrees tonight

Very blustery here, too. I think I just saw Winnie the Pooh fly past my front window.

The wind has been whistling through the trees and the power lines all night long. A winter symphony by Mother Nature.

Same here gsdx. Our house is still here.. and somehow all the power lines are too.

Stick some balloons on it man, take a fat kid and penayforay then have yourselves an adventure.

An interesting report on how the recent Tropical Cyclone Yasi would compare around the world.
http://www.news.com.au/breaking-new...around-the-world/story-fn7ik2te-1225998762870

Quote:
The pre-landfall core was over 500km wide and its associated activity stretched well over 2000km...
...with up to 300km/h winds and up to one metre of rain.

The maps in the linked report give an impression of the effect if Yasi had hit North America, Europe or Asia.

Oh - and I don't think you'll get blown away (unless you're in a tent!)
