I preview and the send and all is fine. i look later and

some of the pics have vanished........Any idea why?

I've been telling stories with the pics and a bit of

dialogue...what a fucking waste of my efforts and

the readers time.

I usually save and upload, not link to pics.

Linking makes a post look tidier, in my opinion, but saving and uploading is my preferred method, due to the potential for the problem that keeps occurring for Lefty. Also, even if the images do show up, in time they may still disappear if a blog or site is shut down.

^ It's extremely reliable. Is that worth anything? You can also re-post one you previously uploaded by copying the link. They're all neatly saved in your attachments section.

Leftykins, what EJ said. Although I will also say that when one has a ridiculous amount of attachments such as I have finding a specific one for re-posting can be somewhat tricky! So, it might be beneficial to you to upload images to your gallery?

isn't linking when you have that thing out and

the viewer has to hit on it? I hate that for pics, spoils

the flow and I get distracted into other things. BAD.

My gallery is personal and only for things that mean

something to me...like my homepage buddies....

Maybe I should just go back to verbiage and to hell

with the fancy shit.

The personal gallery is not the same as attachments. See below. You can view your saved attachments with the images or just the names, as I did.

What you're doing is hotlinking, providing the picture by way of a link to another site. The little yellow mountain thingy makes it possible to view the picture without clicking on it. (It puts the

codes in.)

If you posted the link without the "" part, it would do the thing you don't like.

You can also upload/download pics to your Hidden Gallery, which no one else but you can see, and then insert them into posts by copying their location into the "Yellow Mountains" thingy. The only presentation aspect that accomplishes though, is not having the attachment thumbnails show up at the bottom of your post. Perhaps more work than it's really worth, in most cases ...

Butt, that method is also good for storing attachments that you might use over again in later posts. For instance, this little gif.

Yeah, there are a lot of little tricks that can come in handy, once you learn how to access and use them. Depending on what it is you want to do, perhaps they're worth the trouble, butt, then again, maybe not ...

For this week: 13 Books by P.A. Brown

My writing activities take me into the world of erotic romance, even though I never considered myself a romance reader or writer. I found P.A. Brown through those channels, but her writing appeals to me much more than even the best erotic romance. For one thing, I prefer the mystery genre. In order to get the sex, I sometimes end up reading erotic romances. Now I've found my one-stop shopping. Lambda Literary Review writes: "Earlier in the series, Brown pushed the romance genre to its limit; with her latest, L.A. Bytes, she passes over to mainstream gay mystery." Sounds like my kind of author. And did I mention there's a bit of kink, too? Not too much, for those of you who don't like that.
