For my contribution to Thursday Thirteen: The Penis.
Not very original, you say? It's actually books about the beloved member.
I've been reading
Talking Cock, by Richard Herring, a book I found at the used book store last week. It's a collection of facts, anecdotes, and funny commentary about the penis, largely based on a survey conducted by the author. I'm not going to use one of my five uploads to show you the cover. Have another pic instead:
When I went on Amazon.com to get a picture of the cover, the site suggested several related books. First was:
Sexy cover, isn't it? And looking inside isn't a bad idea.
The others gave me my theme; the following 13 books are specifically about the penis, or seem to be, based on the title. The pics aren't from the books.
1. Dick: A User's Guide by Michele C. Moore
2. Blow Me!: The Complete Guide to Oral Sex! by Stephan Niederwieser
3. Penis Genius: The Best Tips and Tricks for Working His Stick, by Jordan LaRousse and Samantha Sade
4. A Mind of Its Own: A Cultural History of the Penis, by David M. Friedman
5. Little Book of Big Penises, by Dian Hanson
6. Big Black Penis: Misadventures in Race and Masculinity, by Shawn Taylor
7. Hung: A Meditation on the Measure of Black Men in America, by Scott Poulson-Bryant
8. Manhood: The Rise and Fall of the Penis, by Mels van Driel
9. Out in the Open, Revised Edition: The Complete Male Pelvis, by R. Louis Schultz (okay, this is not limited to the penis, but I liked the title)
10. Private Parts: A Doctor's Guide to the Male Anatomy, by Yosh Taguchi (also a bit more general)
11. Puppetry of the Penis: The Ancient Australian Art of Genital Origami by Simon Morley and David Friend
12. The Book of the Penis, by Maggie Paley
13. The Penis Book, by Joseph Cohen
This one sounded interesting, and the cover caught my eye, but it's not all about cock.
Facts and Phalluses: A Collection Of Bizarre & Intriguing Truths, Legends, & Measurements, by Alexandra Parsons
