As for my contribution...

After reading Amuse Bouche, a Russell Quant Mystery by Anthony Bidulka, I ordered the rest of his books.

According to Wikipedia, an amuse-bouche is French term for a single, bite-sized hors d’œuvre. They are are different from appetizers in that they are not ordered from a menu by patrons, but served free and according to the chef's selection alone. It’s literally translated as "mouth amuser".

With that in mind, I went to find another sort of mouth amuser. (What could she mean?) I didn’t find much I liked, but this pic intrigued me.

How did you discover Anthony Bidulka? He's quite popular here, as he is almost local (Saskatchewan). . . I've been to a reading of his, here in E-town, and it was PACKED! If you go to Saskatoon, you'll find a lot of the places mentioned in the Quant Mysteries, as that's where both Russell and Anthony hail from.

One of my many searches for "gay mystery". There wasn't a specific recommendation -- just sounded worthwhile.
