Having pretty things on the screen does help suppress the urge to be rude to the customer "service" people.

I work at home and am content to use older technology when it does the job equally well (sometimes better).

On another matter, they're saying we'll get 8-12 inches of snow tomorrow! I could be stuck inside with my computer!

I enjoyed the posts - I think these were almost all new - the elephant I can not forget! That has been my issue of late, trying to find something that is new / different. Both of my last two real posts were repeated themes. Some of my ideas are just lame; so unless it gets desperate!

Rand, glad you enjoyed the posts Your ideas are not lame! So many times you've come up with something new and creative and found so many great pictures! I can agree with you though that it can be a problem coming up with something new and different, I've certainly had that difficulty myself and have had to repeat themes. However, I do have a number of ideas that I haven't been able to post yet as I've found it difficult to find enough good images to fit the idea, but the ideas themselves have been inspired by the finding of random pictures.

There's no need to find brand new themes to make an appreciated post. I'm delighted to see this thread continuing without much input from me. What I like is a set of pics that have something in common, to see all the ways the theme is expressed. I don't care if the theme is unique. Well, maybe if it was the same theme every single week I'd get tired of it...

8. I wanted to see what ET posted
9. The switch to day-light-savings has me way behind
10. The dog needed walking, once I get one

13. Patricia Brigg's new book came out

The thread was on page three and took me days to find it.

Very good I've been too busy this week, doing research for my visit to my cousin next month. Well, that's the only excuse I've got and I'm sticking to it! I never know what page in the forum my favourite threads are on as I always go to them via my subscriptions list.

Thanks. Unfortunately, most of the books are packed and stored elsewhere after I read them because I have so little room. I had to look through a box for half of the books in the photo. I tend to keep an assortment of short stories available, but not the novels.

Now I've read a lot of Greg Herren, but don't recall Sleeping Angel. I think I've tried a couple of books by Michael Thomas Ford. Now these authors: Thom Wolf / Sean Wolfe; Jeff Mann / William J Mann. Lack of creativity? What is it that authors love to play with theme Titles: A is for Anal; B is for Buggery; C is for Chastity; etc. First you fall, Second you sin, Third you die. He really had a thing going - however it needed to be "Third you try" or "Third you thirst" to really keep the pattern true.

They're great books, except for some political incorrectness in one, and the fact that he repeated some of the offensive bit in another book even after he got a lot of flak for it. They're somewhat like Herren's Scotty Bradley series. Anyway, if you don't like cute patterns, you probably won't like the way the chapter titles in Second You Sin are all Barbra Streisand songs. And it's not easy to come up with book titles!
