I'd like to be able to explain my fascination with feet.

Really don't consider it a fetish.

But I love the summer, when men are in sandals and their feet are visible.

I used to be a professional manicurist and did pedicures for a living. Loved doing men's feet--their strength, beauty, etc..

These pics are great examples of beautiful, fascinating, feet.

Our poor feet get a bum rap of yucky, dirty, smelly. But, hey!, it's not their fault! Think of where they usually are, and the job they are doing. They work harder than most of the other parts of us!

As for odor ... like our hands, our feet don't have any musk glands. However, much of the time they are confined to a warm, dark, damp environment, which is ideal conditions for bacteria to proliferate. Our hands would smell the same if we wore gloves all the time. SO, keep your feet clean, and let those "puppies" out to Breathe as much as possible!

As for dirty, well, our feet are our prime physical contact with the planet! And, what is the Earth made of? Dirt! So, yeah!, our feet are going to get a bit grimy at times. So?

The first pic, above, is a prime example of the wonderful form of the Human foot! Think about the underlying bone structure, and muscles, that shape those arcs and curves. And then, think of all the sensitive nerve endings just below those surfaces. Think of the myriad things you could make that guy feel by playing with his "back paws"! It would, after all, feel the same to You if you would let him return the favor!

Yes! I do have a fascination with feet! And, all things considered, I don't quite "get" why everyone else doesn't share that. Perhaps if we all had more "Foot Fun"?

Hmmm ... good question!

From the American Heritage Dictionary:

Fetish ...

1. An object that is believed to have magical or spiritual powers, especially such an object associated with animistic or shamanistic religious practices.
2. An object of unreasonably excessive attention or reverence: made a fetish of punctuality.
3. Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual part of the body, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification.
4. An abnormally obsessive preoccupation or attachment; a fixation.

For me, feet do not arouse sexual desire (by themselves), nor are they necessary for sexual gratification. And, I'm not preoccupied with feet. There are other things that press my buttons much more.

However, I do like looking at them, and do LOVE playing with them. But, feet are not the center of my attention, and even if I do get to play with them, it doesn't have to be a sexual encounter, at all.

Thus, I consider my interest more of a fascination.

I'm with you, especially when they are well maintained, proportioned and clean.

To me, the soles generally look the same. And the cracked, callous ones are a big turn off.

Each foot chiefly the sole) has 250,000 sweat glands and feet perspire more than any other part of the body. Must be some evolutionary reason for the abundance of sweat glands in the feet--so as you say, wash them once in a while!
