jub ebb and flow as ive noticed it...

the serious discussions used to take place weekday evenings

friday seemed to be the time when we all used to loosen up and play a little more

traffic also slowed down and talking about bodily functions always got people chattering....

even if they only bitched at first about how icky it was, and before long they would start new threads and things would start humming along

the dynamics of the board have changed though...

chatter occurs all the time now, and it rarely leads to new threads. it just locks into one thread and grows unnaturally in one place

i dont know why the group interaction dynamics have changed so much

but they have

hmmmm...you've been here longer but i hadn't noticed that. what i have noticed is that when the update happened yesterday, traffic in hot topics tripled...even now it's double what it was before yesterday. wonder if the count is wrong or what...why would so many people come here overnight?

I did. In fact, I discovered forums I never knew existed before. I likely shan't be visiting them again.

You can blame the fact that Hot Topics is now as dull as dishwater on a handful of cliquey members who are dragging this place down with their inane, banal and repetitive mutual appreciation threads - as someone who has been here for a while (and seen how good Hot Topics can be at times), it does mildly annoy me to see the boards in such a static state. I know that I am not the only member who feels this way.

Many, many threads in HT really do belong in Fun and Games, I wish the mods would have a lower threshold for shifting threads to that area.

You can draw your own conclusions as to whom I am talking about, as I have been advised not to mention names.

But, hey, it's "all in the name of fun and I love you all"
