It's been a few months since I was a member of the site. Most of the good stuff is streamed, so if you want to hang on to it, then you'll have to use programs that capture/save streaming vids.
Basically, AD started out as a DVD production company doing amateur productions with military/military-type guys and the DVDs are still a main focus of the site. Right now they're back to releasing a DVD per month/3weeks or so. DVDs can be purchased off the site by members/non-members (members get a $10 discount). A number of AD's older DVDs are also available through other distributors. A word about the DVDs, people either seem to love or hate 'em. They are slow-paced and on a 90 min/2 hour film, there's lots of 'filler' of the guys shooting the breeze and 'warming up'. But I find these guys so gorgeous and fun that this doesn't bother me much and it also should be said that the later movies have more action.
Downloads: There are tons of pics. When a DVD comes out, a gallery is made, and added to for the next couple of weeks resulting in 1-3 hundreds of shots from the film. There are also solo shots of one/more of the models, like the sample gallery of Brock on JUB's eye candy today or of Hops that was a couple of days ago. In addition, each week, a bunch of video clips are available for download. I'm not that wild about them because they're just short promos/excerpts from the DVDs designed to encourage you to buy the DVDs. I don't believe there's any DRM on the clips, but I wouldn't really know since I tend to get the full length movies.
Streaming: About 2.5 years ago, a feature was introduced, '
Active Duty Live'. Basically, there are three or so shows/week with the lineup announced every preceding Sunday. These are hour-long shows with the models (or prospective models), mostly solos but some 2 or moresomes. There's an interactive chat, where you type and the models talk back. Most of these guys are really interactive and fun to chat with, not to mention very patient. So the show involves the model(s) answering questions, stripping down and showing off and getting off.
The shows are then archived the following week, so you can go replay a show if you missed the live show. The really good thing is that there are now hundreds of these shows archived on the site. The bad thing is that they're all done in a streaming form so you need programs to save/capture them if you want to keep them. The site is also now beginning to sell 'Best of
Active Duty Live' collections on DVD, again with reduced prices for members.
In addition, the site also 'streams' 6 of the full-length DVD movies each week with a mixture of older titles and more recent releases. The lineup changes every week and the quality of the streaming is OK, but they
are DRM protected.
Hopefully that tells you what you need to know!
