I hate to do this to the JUB teapartiers but this is just too good.
Last election the Tea Party wacktivists™ won election by lying to the population that the Dems are gonna cut medicare, medicaid and all the other things that the GOPers are doing now.
They sent a letter to Obama asking the Dems to stop telling the public about all the thiings the Pugs want to do to screw the public.
Poor pathetic wacktivists. They are so screwed.

Maybe if the Republican party actually did things that they ran on, you know.....CREATING JOBS, instead of their insanely rabid agenda they have, they'd be better received by the public. Where are the JOBS?

Instead what Republicans have focused on is:

1.) Restricting abortion
2.) Busting unions
3.) Bashing gays
4.) Cut taxes for corporations
5.) Trying to kill Medicaid and gut Medicare
6.) Wanting to grow government by forcing unemployed/poor into taking drug tests.

Gee whiz, I wonder why their agenda is so distasteful to 85% of the country.

And note that most if not all of the proposals the GOP house put forward are big government intrusive items.

they DOWNRIGHT PROMISED that medicare was off the table. they said Obamacare was killing it and they needed to be elected to save it.

then the first real budget they wrote, they tried to kill it.

its just appalling.

They said the healthcare bill was intrusive in the patient doctor relationship, yet are writing bills all around the nation telling doctors what to say to their patients in regards to reproduction, and not allowing the doctors to give real medical advice.

its ridiculous and the public is dumb, but not when it comes to shit like this.

The GOP is a mess. It's as fractured and non productive as the pakistani military.

well theres one difference between Pakistan and the GOP... the Pakistani military knew where Osama was.

I saw that on television. The Republican party that shouted "death panels" and all that other nonsense are telling Democrats not to discuss their agenda.

Giving tax breaks to billionaires
Welfare to the oil companies
gutting medicare
saying we're broke to decimate social programs
gutting education

There is no group more un-American than the Republicans. They're out to destroy America exactly like al Qaeda tried.

Why is anyone surprised?

The teabaggers thought they have a mandate from God to go after guns, abortion and gays (or GAG if you will).

They don't want to be held accountable for all the things that actually got them elected by their talibangelical base.

Remember how much shit we were getting by Republicans when we stated with absolute certainty that the TeaBaggers were lying, racist, homophobes? Those Republicans all said, "no, no, it's only about the spending". As soon as the assholes are in power what do they do? Go after abortion rights, gay marriage, overturning universal healthcare, reinstating DODT, and other nonsense.

The TeaBaggers are the same damn thing Republicans always have been. SSDD.

everyone seems surprised that the republicans/GOP are lying assholes. They have always lied to get elected and then do just the opposite, yet, they keep getting elected -- riddle me that.

Republicans have just doubled down on destroying Medicaid, and gutting Medicare as part of the debt ceiling. The debt ceiling is hit on Monday. Fucking morons.

I'm almost becoming bored by it.

One like myself may also suspect that Party That Is No Longer "The Party of Lincoln" wants not to win back the White House; flip the Senate; or keep the House in 2012.

What do they know that we don't?

All Republican House members voted for the budge amendment.

It's enough to make a guy wonder if any of these people has ever had a life. Do they really expect that Obama will stop his rather mild criticism of their lousy excuses for plans, after the way they used everything short of foul language when running against him?

Democrats should tie a constitutional amendment to ban business corporation, churches, and unions from politics, to the debt limit bill. And one to change the entire highway system to metric.

^ It would be handy to have the road system the same as Canada when we pop by.

Please no!. Several years ago there was talk of switching to metric and I really, really tried to learn it. I don't know why I can't grasp it because I understand the workings of it. Although now with the internet it may be much easier to just google it.:p

We do volume in metric already anyway -- we all know what a 1-liter or 2-liter bottle looks like.

Highway distances aren't that hard -- 55 mph = 88 kph, so 5 mi is 8 km.

Shorter distances aren't so easy to get, though most people who've been involved in sports over the last thirty years knows meters -- swimming and track are all metric.

The place where metric is the most foreign is mass.

Given I live and travel abroad I think both in metric and imperial with ease, except for temp. I still have to think in F and convert to or from C.
