Look what we saw today when we were out driving. They were lazing about and grazing on someone's front lawn. Most of them were carrying joeys, too. So cute! ....

Oh, and in case you think it must be true that Oz is full of kangaroos hopping around the streets of suburbia, sorry to disappoint you ... we were well out of town. The particular housing estate where we came across these roos is in a bush setting high up on a hill. ;)

^ There were a lot more than I had expected, though. They don't hop around the streets of Sydney, no, but as soon as you venture into the bush for a bit they're everywhere.

Very Aussie. I like the wonderful pictures especially the one with the babies in the pouch.

Yeah the best place i have been is up in the Grampians they are everywhere

this one place we stayed had a huge open field and there were 20 - 30 or more there at all times ..|

Thanks for the pic, Oz! I can't wait to visit Australia and sees me some roos! :-)

they used to come to my back fence when i lived in canberra.... sometimes 30 at a time

I love being Australian :) can't imagine life in any other country
Ditto! ..|

But he is draped in a questionable pose across the lawn
"He" is, in fact, a "she" and the questionable pose is as a result of the little joey who's tucked away in her pouch. The little bugger disappeared just as I took the pic and refused to poke its head out again while mum was lounging.

Thanks Oz, you always take great pictures..
Always a pleasure, mate. (*8*)
