Just wondering..How big are most of you guys computer monitors? And how big is too big?

Right now I have a 19 inch( 48 cm) screen, but I'm thinking of going up to a 26 or 32 inch (81 cm) inch.I think the ''26 might be just about right but am wondering if a 32 inch might be too big..They are on sale now for about $300.00..

Thoughts?

wow you like them big eh!

I just have my 15.6inch laptop and it does the job.

but I do have another computer hooked up to my 32 inch tv........so I can stream movies and such from the web

About yay big. I'm guessing it's about 18" x 14". Can't be sussed to measure.

I have a 17 inch laptop too, that's good too and it was my only computer for years..

I also stream a lot of video from the net too, that's why I'm thinking of the larger screen..But how does it look on forums and e-mail and stuff?

Wow,that's the size of my living room tv..That would be too big!

My laptop has a 13'' screen. Eh, it's big enough. At the time I was purchasing it, I didn't see why it was all that necessary for me to shell out another $500 for a 15'' model. As long as the screen's bright and I can make out the images on it, I really don't care. :-)

I don't even remember the exact measurements for my desktop's monitor, it's been ages since I've actually sat down and used it.

I'm the opposite.I can't remember the last time I used the laptop.

That's about where I'm at too Lex,but I'm thinking a bigger screen would be better..

I get a laugh sometimes when I think about how when I was younger,I got by fine with a 13 inch black and white tv,and the BIG tv was the 19 inch in the living room..

Can't see from across the room. My eyesight demands those glasses from the store that are cheap. 1X works for me to see the monitor clearly. 2x is great for reading.

Oh,I got you now..I thought you might have been talking about those cheesy plastic magnifiers some people used in the 80's to enlarge their tv screen.

To me,they always seemed to have a ''house of mirrors'' effect and I never cared for them.

18" on the ole laptop. I was in a lawyers office one time. He was legally blind but could see if the letters were big enough. He had his computer hooked up to a 48" monitor. The letters were like 6" high. I was actually getting dizzy as he was reading this email. I'd say that monitor was too big.

54" lcd. My pc is connected to my home entertainment system. I watch tv, movies, porn, surf the 'net, JUB, play games all on my hdtv.

This one's about 36 inches. He's not mine, though.

My desktop computer has two monitors. One is 22" and was mostly used for gaming, the other is 27" which I found to be too large for gaming, but great for streaming and editing videos. Since I don't really do much gaming anymore, I have no footage to edit, and my 32" TV makes the 27" monitor practically redundant. They're just there to look pretty now, and they do a decent job of it, I must say.

Had a 17" one a few years back, upgraded three years ago to a 24'' one.....like the quality of the screen and great for streaming, not a big games player so wouldn't really be too knowledgeable on how ideal it is for that.

It's from my left speaker all the way to my right speaker.

I just got a 22 (LCD). Use to have a 19.

Did you even notice much of a difference though?

Yeah,I'm thinking anything over a 32 would be too freaking big.It would be on my desk about 3 feet from me..

I have a 30" and a 20" side-by-side.

I should have just gotten two 23" inchers. It would look more balanced.

Ok guys, dumb question..Why do people have two monitors hooked up to the same computer? Can't you just open a new tab?
