How big is your...

I have around 2500 songs on my lap top, and I say at least double that on my desktop computer with a bunch more on an external hard drive.

I really wish I knew how I could organize things so I could store them on an external drive, yet have ready access to the collection via iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

I've got just over 45,000 MP3 files on my external HD. 100s of CDs, and perhaps only 50 vinyl.

On my iPod i have about 1409 albums, but that means that even if it is one single off of an album it shows up. And i have 3,619 songs. I have 19.78 Gigbytes of space taken up by just music and it would take me about 10 days to listen to my entire iTunes library. I love collecting music, i don't even worry about the price anymore!

I have about 160GB iPod classic filled up and another 100GB on my PC so that is roughly over 50,000 songs combined with my iTunes library and boyfriend's library.

This is another world to me. For ten years I was deaf, 2000 to 2009. Listening to music was not an option. No I do not know what I have missed. It was interesting to read all your comments.
