  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How bitchy are you in real life?

So low as not to register on the bichter scale.

I bet you're actually like a teddy bear in real life.

I don't know what you mean about bitchy comments. I never see that.

Right. We get it. If we cross you, you'll over-process your hair. Thaaaanks for letting us know. That's just SUPER! ..|

I have a sardonic sense of humour, but I would not call it ‘bitchy.’ Maybe a little sassy at times, but always in good/mutual fun.

I'm kind, considerate, and often mindful of others feelings. I rarely speak a harsh word in public. I say "thank you and please" a great deal. I try to be helpful and will do "favors" when others are in a bind. It takes a great deal to piss me off, but when I lose it, duck!

That pretty much describes how I am. I guess I can also be a push-over since I would rather keep quiet than get pissed off at someone. If I get pissed off, then yeah, watch yourself.

As far as bitchy goes, I am sassy and, I guess, "bitchy" with someone if and only if I feel comfortable around him or her. That is, he or she knows I'm only joking and have no intentions to insult him or her. ;)

Though I have been known to pull off my earrings and give some bitches' extensions a yank on these boards, in real life I am so sweet and polite that I make people a little bit sick to their stomachs. But I have been known to let fly a bitchy bon mot in my time... I just never really mean it; and I never say it where the person I'm saying it about can hear it, not even second-hand.

i'm nice but people are intimidated by the person they think i am which is a cocky asshole who only cares about himself, when really i'm a caring person :(

I am usually a very polite, nice guy. I don't like people who are bitches all the time (or even most of the time). I am known to throw a bitch-fit every now and then; usually when a person (or group) acts stupid.

There is another aspect of it if you want to get serious about it for a minute. A generation ago, people met each other at clubs or associations where they shared a common interest, and more often than not, common experiences and world views. They gave the appearance of getting along not because they were inherently more polite, but because they truly did see eye to eye.

Now we have something like this internet forum, which brings people together from around the world and who have very little in common other than being gay. We run across people with whom we have truly great differences of opinion, and it leads understandably to friction.

I think a bit of perspective comes from thinking back a generation to how someone would be treated if they did stick out, if they didn't share the same world view. That person would easily be ostracized, and the bigots would have felt no compunction in letting loose. I think our generation may be bitchier, but we're much better at actually navigating the differences between people.

I'm very laid-back, but I play devil's advocate nearly every time anybody makes a point. I'm not a bitch about it, but it's hard for me not to force the other side of an argument onto somebody - even if it's not an argument I agree with, or that matters. It's just conversation to me. It can be touchy with others, depending on what I choose to present the other side of.

PERSON: I'm sad that I got fired.
ME: Now you'll have more time to be happy.

PERSON: God, he is so ugly.
ME: Some people like fat guys.

PERSON: I love Google.
ME: Yeah, it's good. But it knows everything about you, and in the event of a corrupt mind being hired into their company, Google will find you and hurt you.
