How Comfortable Are You In Clothing That Celebrates Your Sexuality?

I sometimes wear thong style briefs to the gym. Does that count?

When I was president of my local pride one of the sponsors had shirts made up for the board members. I still wear it from time to time. They have the title of our pride in pink. Underneath is a pink outlined triangle that is filled in with the pride rainbow in the middle. Under the triangle it says “Board Member”.

So far I have only ever had one person acknowledge it to me.

I don't have any "technically" gay-pride shirts, but I do have a few that... I dunno play off my homosexuality for a laugh?

One is the Red Bull symbol, with one of the bulls turned around so that they're doing the nasty and it says "Bad Bull" I got it for my boyfriend in Australia but it doesn't fit him anymore.

I also got one for me in Australia that says "I taught your girlfriend that thing you like" which on its own seems like a "straight" shirt, but for people who know I'm gay its takes on a bit of a double meaning, and it makes them laugh usually lol.

Then my boyfriend has 2 that are pretty old/ripped/grubby, so I only wear them around the apartment as pajama shirts, but the one says "I'm not gay but my boyfriend is" and the Other is a "Lucy's Truckstop" shirt. It states that this imaginary diner is "always open", "parking in the rear" and asks you to "come on in and drop your load"

>>>Gay themed tattoo's/clothing items are fucking lame and stupid.

And how's the prostitution going? If you haven't started yet, let me suggest that you start working on your mindset. If you're not interested in something, or you don't want to participate in it, it does not make it "lame and stupid". It makes it "not for me", or "something I'm not interested in". I have a feeling this will help with your interaction with your clients.

THANK you.

My preferred style of clothing is exceptionally bland in chromaticity, and rarely has any notable print. As such, there's little room for anything emphatic (if I were to wear any expressive apparel, it would be video game related). I suppose I could see myself donning something minor, like a rainbow wristband, but that's it.

I want to get a Legalize gay shirt from American Apparel.

I don't have any gay themed clothing... and would be very uncomfortable wearing anything like that where I live...
That being said I have nothing against gay themed clothing, and infact think its kinda cool :)

Great reply Lex... very good point

Just remembered... I actually wouldn't mind wearing this, either.

Most days of the week, I'm in the classroom, where "in your face"-style advocacy really isn't appropriate. I prefer to engage in a more interactive form of advocacy in the classroom: regardless of the subject matter, my goal is to provide students with information, tools, and a non-judgmental environment in which they can make their own informed decisions about the matter through critical thinking and dialogue. (I really need to save that line for my teaching portfolio...)

On the weekends, I'm usually out and about in one of the two gayest towns in North Carolina, so there's not much need for advocacy. I did get a t-shirt opposing our anti-marriage constitutional amendment, but I haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

Honestly, I'm a bit on the paranoid side. My psychiatrist diagnosed me with mild schizophrenia, therefore, I tend to try to not be overly revealing in terms of my sexuality, or else I'll convince myself that someone will shoot me or beat me to death for being gay. I know deep down in my mind that that would most likely never happen. However, schizophrenic thoughts can sometimes be very overpowering when in the moment.

Don't get me wrong, I'm comfortable about being gay, and am open to most people about it. Although, I tend to not flaunt it (not saying wearing a T-shirt is necessarily flaunting it). So, the furthest I'll go in terms of clothing is maybe a rainbow bracelet or something.
