I signed up yesterday for Men.com's 1$ trial. I just wanted to see one video actually which I didnt really enjoy upon seeing the whole video. Today, I was surprised to find out that I was now charge 30$ for an entire month subscription. I had no idea this would happen as I didnt read anything that said I would be charge that amount after a day. I cancelled my membership but the customer service said they cannot issue a refund.

Does anyone know a way to get a refund? I wouldnt actually mind the 30$ if I actually enjoy the videos in that site but I dont. I'd rather signup for another site that I like. Anyway, should I call my card issuer? Do you think it's possible to get a refund? Thanks in advance!

Edit: it was actually written at the bottom of the signup page that I will be charge 30$...... :(

You fell for a well placed scam by not reading the fine print. Sorry man.

Dispute it with your credit card company. They'll pretty much always side with you.

Word of advice. Next time use PayPal for that website because you can cancel your subscription through your PayPal account and its really simple.

Make a dispute about the situation, but you need to read the terms and conditions with these websites before signing up really.

Dispute the charge with your credit card company and tell them you wanted to cancel during the trial period and were refused.

Put it down to experience.

This. There's enough free porn on the internet for your future needs!

^I know lol but I really wanted to see this one vid and I couldnt find it anywhere else. Turned out it wasnt that hot though. I wonder if I can atleast ask to credit the money to some other website..

And yes, I will indeed learn from this experience. If I cant get a refund,
i might aswell browse the website more in the hopes of finding a good video.

Ok, so I couldnt get a refund but was offered to have 90 days access instead of 30 days. I guess that would be fine. :p

No tell them you are going to dispute the charge. You said you didn't like the site anyway. This is like going to a restaurant where you hate the food but the portions are huge.

There is so much free porn out there, I don't understand why anyone would pay for it.

You might have seen the video for free with a bit of Googling! :-<

PM me all your credit card information. Don't worry,I will get the money back!

This.

Years ago this happened to me. I clicked a "conveniently" place upgrade button that constantly popped up. It was on my debit card and I called my bank up, told them what happened and they reverted it.

Yeah, pretty much what Buzzer said.

I'll never forget the time when my friend I housekeep for, back when I was roommates with him and his girlfriend... I'd downloaded some inexpensive phone app his gf recommended to me. Unrelated to the app itself, I go into my bank account to see if I had the money to pay for it - it's a good thing I did.

Unbeknownst to me, someone had gone into my account and put a down payment for DirecTV satellite service - which actually put my account negative. That specific apartment in our apartment complex wasn't eligible for satellite dish TV service, because it faced the wrong direction for a satellite dish to get a proper signal, and the trees were in the way, anyway. So due to those physical impediments, they had no choice but to get landline cable instead.

All it took was one quick trip down to the bank to tell them what had happened. The charges themselves were reversed, the overdraft fines for each transaction were reversed, a new account was immediately opened free of charge, and my pre-existing positive balance was transferred over at once. I got to keep my debit card, since it was specifically the bank account number that was the problem - DirecTV does accept a bank account number given verbally over the phone as a form of payment.

Everything was made right again within 36 hours. Because I spoke up and said something.

Actually it's okay now. Been browsing the website and found some really hot videos! As well as finding a new favorite pornstar: Darius Ferdynand! Too bad he only has few scenes.. The newer scenes that come out everyday are pretty hot too. So I guess it's worth it. But I will not pay again for porn :p

You can contest the charges once they are billed (even before they appear on a monthly statement). Start the process now and you may have luck. But don't expect an immediate refund as their is a negotiation between them and the card issuer. But, go back and read the fine print as this will be binding on you.

I wish I could be more sanguine but you might have just been had...call it a lesson learned.
