How are you described according to the town or city where you live, the region (province, state, county, etc.), and the country?

Also, what is the motto on your licence plate and what is your home town flag?

For example, I live in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Therefore, I am:

Peterborian, Ontarian, Canadian

I'm not sure what the sword signifies, but the waves represent the Otonabee River (pronounced 'oh-TAH-NAH-BEE') which flows through the middle of the city:

That's a lovely view of the city -- what's the big building on the River?

and that license plate - good gravy !!
talk about making you DIZZY ---
We're got 6 number/letter combinations but at least they have the sense to put a dash in the middle !!

Also - a lot of us keep this information in a shoebox next to our gayness in the same closet where we live - so it's kinda difficult to give all that up - even here --

My demonyms include: Eau Clairean, Chippewa Valleyan, Wisconsinite, American

Therefore I am a Melburnian, Victorian and Australian.

Peterborough looks really nice gsdx.

Marietta, Georgia, USA. I hope the picture saves me from having to elaborate further.

I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, and I'm moving back there in two months.

So, I'm a Birminghamian (We call our city The Ham, so I'm also a Hammer), an Alabamian/Alabaman, and American.

I live near York, but I'm not a Yorkshireman because I wasn't born in the county and that's what counts round here. I'd just describe myself as English.

Anyway, this is the York Coat of Arms:

The licence plate is a fake you can make online, but I believe personal licence plate can be 7 letters long.

The 'big building' is Quaker Oats. It used to be the North American headquarters, but I don't know if it still is. The buildings to the right of it immediately across the river are the main offices. The big building is the factory portion. When the wind is out of the east, the sweet smell of oats wafts across the city.

(I live 3 blocks to the left of the big building near Price Chopper.)

It's neither. City Hall is 2 blocks to the left. The Lift Locks (world's highest hydraulic lift lock) recently celebrated its 104th anniversary.

I graduated from Trent in 1975. It's grown quite a bit since then. When I attended, only the left portion of the main campus was there with a lecture theatre to the right across the bridge. There were also two other college campuses in the downtown core.

The Flag has the city seal emblazoned on quartered background, with each section representing a country that once controlled the city. The lower hoist quarter represents France, which founded the Fort and settlement in 1701. The upper fly quarter represents the Kingdom of Great Britain, which controlled the fort from 1760 to 1796. The lower fly and upper hoist quarters represent the United States. The woman on the left represents Detroit at the time of the 1805 fire. The woman on the right, who is comforting her, represents hope and the future. The background scene shows the city in flames on the left. On the right, a new and brighter city is shown. On the sides are the two Latin mottos "Speramus Meliora" and "Resurget Cineribus", which translated into English read “We Hope for Better Things…It Shall Arise from the Ashes.”

AND this is an amazing thread --- I'm really surprised about these 'cities" and for some reason - espeically BIRMINGHAM !! Without thinking about it - I would pictured it "smaller"......
