I don't know of any other species on the planet that willingly and not accidentally has sex with members of another species other than humans.

For consistency's sake, if homosexuals are so promiscuous as people say we are, why would we have sex with animals when we're supposed to get sex every night with a different guy?

I'm not against sex against (to quote Marvin Gaye) consenting anybodies. But only adults can give consent.

Children cannot give legal consent, which is why pedophilia is wrong.
Animals cannot give legal consent, which is why bestiality is wrong.
Adult men can give legal consent, which is why there shouldn't be any issue with homosexuality.

I realized I agree with him; humans having sex with animals would be really gross, so I wondered if I had figured out why people hate homosexuals so much, or at least how to relate to them...

It's funny some say beastiality should be illegal because it hurts animals or is done without their consent. People hurt animals or limit their freedom by:
- keeping them as pets (did You ask your goldfish or dog to be your pet?)
- dressing them in silly costumes
- making photos of them, often silly and demeaning
- forcing them to sniff for lost / wanted people, or drugs
- riding on them, which also causes pain
- milking them
- destroying their habitats and limiting them to tiny refuges (wild animals)
- polluting the enviroment
- keeping them in horrible conditions (some cows and chickens can't even move in food industrial conditions)
- haunting them
- slughtering them
- eating them
- experimenting on them
- keeping them in zoos
- making industrial use of their skin and other body parts
- accidentally stepping on them
and many other ways. And all of the sudden one want to have their consent for something?

Of course bestiality is more abnormal than homosexuality. It is extremly different. Homosexual couple is almost like a heterosexual couple, apart from the possibility to reproduce. You cannot have a real talk with an animal, you cannot have common interests, you can not... bah, it's obvious. But this animal's consent claim is just an excuse to dismiss a behaviour abhore to many for completely different reasons - mostly grossness of it and fear of diseases.

I hate when people use that as some sort of defense for their stance against homosexuality. It is the stupidest comparison to try to make. Animals are unable to give consent to sexual intercourse with people or to understand the ramifications of such things. They like to throw this out with regard to gay marriage too..."Well, we'll have to start letting people marry their dogs now!". Except dogs (and any other animal) do not understand what marriage is nor are they again able to give consent.
