I agree with the little things, but to that I would add that the special items or loving gestures are given at times that he doesn't expect. Everyone (well, mostly) expects something for Valentine's Day, for example, but the truly meaningful things come on a Wednesday afternoon when you were in the city and picked up his favorite kind of coffee - just because.

I never sneak. I boldly walked in there and staked my claim a long time ago and never left. I've never been one for playing games, so they are usually simple expressions of care for him, like bringing him a cup of coffee in bed in the morning, a neckrub after a long day at work or holding his penis while he pees. OK, the last one gets me into his underwear, but you get the general idea.
