how do you know when you've gone from chub to bear? and is there a difference? what are some things a chub would need to add to become a solid bear?

You must have excelled when you were in school, because this is just an awesome presentation that you have made here
, and just bet you made great and interesting presentations in school. I agree with you 100%!
, back since I was only 5 years old! I am 48 years old now, however back in the 60's, there were no such terms as "bear" or "cub" or "chub" . . . usually hairy men were just referred to as a “hirsuit man”, and overweight people were considered "chubby" (men, women, boys, girls) . . . as the term "chub" had not been invented yet. Yet I was more drawn to Sebastian Cabot's slight plumpness/slightly overweightness. Had they had the term “bear” in the 60's, Sebastian Cabot sure would have been in that category. WOOF!!!
I loved that guy's beard!
So I would just love if JUB had an exclusive “Hairy Men” section . . . since “I do” find hairy non-bear, non-cub, non-daddy men attractive, who are between 18 to 60. Yet since I am not into “twinks”, I do like the fact that JUB tries to keep the “Bears, Daddies, Chasers, etc.” twink-free, since there is a section on JUB for “twinks”. So until JUB gets a “Hairy Men” section, I’ll make do with the “Bears, Daddies, Chasers, etc.” section. Yet on a side note, I do find “hairy” 18+ year old guys, very fuckable. WOOF!!!

Seandacari, I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! your post! Your definitions and photos are impeccable! You must have excelled when you were in school, because this is just an awesome presentation that you have made here

I may be dating myself, but for those of you that remember the old TV “Family Affair”, I ALWAYS had the HOTS for the character Mr. French (played by Sebastian Cabot), back since I was only 5 years old! Since I have known that I gay since I was 4 ½ years old, I have ALWAYS been attracted to hairy men (who had facial hair of any kind, 18+) . . . preferably with a hairy chest, hairy back, hairy stomach, hairy legs & arms, hairy butt, and hairy armpits. Yet I never had much interest in clean-cut, non-hairy men, and thin men . . . which is one reason why I have no interest in “twinks”. Yet once I turned 18, I tended to mainly be attracted to guys older than myself. I am not sure what is a “daddy” per se (I have never seen a definition of a "daddy"), however men over 60 years old pretty much do not interest me all that much.Unfortunately, I know that JUB did the best that they could to try to organize the various categories of men on their site, however I just like hairy men.

Seandacari, I also agree with you on the JUB bear gallery page you posted, I define NONE of those guys as bears . . . at best, there is just one semi-hairy guy in those 6 photos . . . though that one guy has a hairy chest, it looks like he only has about 2 or 3 days worth of beard stubble . . . hardly a bear in my book.
Yet just reading the original post, it had to me to thinking that there is not "Chub and Chubby Chaser" section in JUB either.Yet again, I know that JUB can only do so much, however I applaud JUB for having so many great, great forum sections on this website. I have never come across a primarily gay website, that offers so many AWESOME and active forums in one place.
Before I forget Seandacar, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the many wonderful photos that you post on JUB. You have quite an AWESOME collection posted here thus far, and I always enjoy your photos in JUB, no matter which section I happen to be reading and or looking at when I come across your wonderful photos. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I think it depends on whether or not you've got a baby face honestly. That's just my opinion though. Whenever I see a man that could be a bear he's gotta have that gruff looking face to make it official.

JustUsBoys use to be called Daddies, Chubs, Bears & Chasers. Some where when they had closed the section due to pirated video links being posted they took out the chub and the chub was part of Etc.
Chubs weren't even considered sexy here I remember when a few super chub JustUsBoys members posted their pictures on this same exact board only to have other members post how gross and disgusting it was to see a 300+ guy posting naked pictures of themselves.
It's good to see people showing interest in chubby men but there are still trolls who love to show their negative opinion.
To answer your question there is no transition from chub to bear you are either a bear or chub. I've seen some bears who are on the super chub side but they are still called chubs. There are some chubs who could pass for bears but they consider themselves chubs.
Some people don't even care about labels and don't even know what to call themselves until their friends start bringing it to your attention. "My friend thinks you are a hot bear" "he thinks you are one sexy looking chub"
But I am sure all the great advice is taken this is just the way I see it. Might be different for others.
