When Americans say "cock" (especially Californians) it sounds like "cak" to my ears. At first I assumed the person had suffered a stroke and couldn't say it properly. Then when I heard more people say it like that, I assumed it was another example of the failure of public education in America that would probably end up destroying the world.

It is a relief to know that people are self-aware and saying it this way on purpose. Now stop it.
