It's occurred to me that I don't know how it's said in all the other regions of the world.

Anyone? I'm no use at languages.

Ich bin schwul <- german (although I say "Ich steh' auf Kerle"
Je suis homo <- french

and you know it in my 3rd language I presume ;)

French:

Je suis gai(e).
Je suis un(e) homosexuel(le).

(Letters within the parentheses are added to make the words 'feminine' for a lesbian speaker.)

Dutch: Ik ben homo.

And I imagine Welsh would be: Hoyw dw i.
(but I'm not sure about that one!)

Français
Je suis homosexuel ou je suis gay

Italiano
Sono omosessuale o piuttosto sono gay

Better learn in which countries you shouldn't say it...

Irish: Tá mé aerach

Taw may air-uck

Aerach literally translates as frivolous, airy or light-hearted, but is officially the meaning for homosexual too.

DP.

Italiano
Sono omosessuale o piuttosto sono gay

"Lei, mei scusci: Sono un homosessuale." *animated hand gestures*

Japanese:

watashi wa gei. (slightly more formal way of saying it, or for non-native speakers)

gei desu. (more conversational way of saying it)

Spanish: Quiero chupar tu verga.
Arabic: Ismee Richard Simmons.
French: Pretty much anything you say, really.

Hawaiian - Mahu !! (Maa- Hoo) -

literal translation would be more on the order of "super fem" but you get the idea.

Spanish: Quiero chupar tu verga.
Arabic: Ismee Richard Simmons.
French: Pretty much anything you say, really.

Haha, this post made me laugh

In Hungarian - Meleg vagyok (literally translates as "I'm warm")

"Lei, mei scusci: Sono un homosessuale." *animated hand gestures*

Not sure how to approach this, but were we speaking rather than writing, I'd assume my most diplomatic tone and suggest that perhaps Nomenclature is joking, and that I haven't gotten the joke (I often don't get jokes), and then go on to add in my most conciliatory tone that almost everything is wrong with his formulation, both in usage and spelling. Better we should follow Marco in his Italian example, and take note that 'piuttosto' in this case means 'preferably'.

well in some cultures,
gay means half male half female (actual translation).

honest ;)
