It annoys me than so many porn people are ugly. I just can't get into it whilst looking at ugly people.
 
Strange Question? Well I think this is a strange thing about gay porn that I can't find discussed anywhere else.

Straight porn has people of two sex - male and female while gay porn only has men. Do you focus on one particular guy or do you look at both of them as a pair. I can only focus on one guy. I don't know what I am in real life (versatile probably) but while watching porn I get into the mind-set of either a top or a bottom depending on my mood. If I want to look at sexy tops I'll search for scenes with sexy tops or even straight porn to look at the men. Likewise, when I want to look at sexy bottoms I search for scenes with sexy bottoms, usually twinks getting fucked by older men.

It's a complicated thing and in a scene I will always find one hotter than the other and I'll focus on him. If that hotter one happens to be a top then in my mind I'm the bottom and vice versa. For straight guys, it's easier as they'll always focus on the female. But to us we can be attracted to any of the two persons in a gay scene. So I'm curious how other gay men view porn.

Reading the comments on porn scenes on the net I'm starting to think that most focus on both because most always want both the guys to be attractive. While in straight porn the girl is always hot while the guy can be the ugliest/fattest/oldest and it's not the problem because they're just going to focus on the girls anyway. That's why the camera focuses only on the women most of the times (since it's almost always the men filming it) and straight porn also has a lot more POVs.

And that's another thing - many gay guys I've noticed do not get POVs. They're like 'Why isn't the other guy being shown? Is he ugly?' :dead: So if this makes any sense, I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

otherwise, I find myself focusing on the bottom more. if the bottom is obviously not into it (wincing in pain, looking off camera, etc) it's a total turn-off no matter how hot the top is.

I wonder if exclusive bottoms only focus on tops in a scene and exclusive tops on bottoms.

About actors not looking enthusiastic. It used to bother me too when I first started watching porn but now very rarely. Other wise I don't care as long as the guy is hot. Therefore, I don't get the fuss over G4P VS real gay guys in gay porn. First of all, almost all G4P are actually gay (eg - almost all the SG4GE men did gay porn later on) and again as long as they're hot.

Straight men seem to have no qualms at all about the women not being into a scene seeing as they have sex with the ugliest of men and are always crying like it hurts a lot.

Truth told, neither do I. Maybe once every month or two, I'll go look at something amateur on xtube. Other than that, I'm usually reading an erotic story, or using my imagination. :)

I actually prefer sites like XTube, because there's real guys having real sex. It's not just an act, although there is some very good professional stuff out there.

Unfortunately, XTube is overrun with advertisements (or, previews of professional videos) and those videos you have to pay for. Blocking the uploader doesn't prevent all that spam from drowning the search results.

What do I watch? Whatever floats my boat just then. The one overriding theme seems to be "I want to see two (or one, or more) guys REALLY enjoying themselves." I'd rather see two average guys really losing themselves in a sex act than two hot guys perfunctorily doing something.

And I understand your question, but it's a moot point to me. When I'm watching porn, I'm not focused on one guy. If I'm watching an anal scene, say, I might idly think of fucking that guy like that, or getting fucked by that other guy like that. But that's not what I'm primarily focused on. I'm focused on the act. I'm focused on watching two guys get completely absorbed in having sex with each other. Because that's what gets me off. :)
