  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

how does summer time make you feel?

cranky.

I prefer the winter.... give me snow, bitter cold, and ice over freaking 100 degree weather and all the freaking kids getting into who knows what.

And i get the surge to get my ass back to school.... finally going back at the end of july for grad school.

I didn't feel lost in the summer while i was in working on my BS degree because i kept the same job year round while I was in school. I just didn't know what to do with my spare time because I didn't ahve to study. . . so i just played MMOs. Yes. I am an uber dork and I love it.

Summer used to be fun..but now it just isn't the same. I really miss my life on campus. I feel like being home sets me back.

The weather is nice though..sometimes. I don't like winter, so yay summer.

Sticky and fat. Fortunately, we don't get an awful lot of hot weather hear in NorCal, so the sticky isn't all the time. But I do for some reason tend to put on weight in the summer... or perhaps I just notice it more because I am only wearing one layer of thin clothing instead of two or three... or perhaps I only notice it more because other people are wearing even less clothing, and I get jealous. Whatever, I prefer autumn.

I remember the summers bounded by school, and though I sometimes got a little floaty about times and dates when I didn't have the structure of school, I never got bored. There are so many books to read, so many stories to write, so many movies to watch, so much laying around in bed to do. I miss those lazy summers now that I'm part of the workaday world.
