I walk to work, and feel very blessed to do so. Yet, I work with a lady that drives three hours round trip!

What about you?

15km (or just under 10 miles, for you filthy foreigners). Depending on traffic and the time of day I leave, it can take up to 50 minutes. 25 minutes is a good day, far as I'm concerned.

Depends on how you look at it..My tuesday through friday job,I drive about 15 minutes and I'm at the yard. Then I hop in a semi truck and teach rookie drivers how to drive them..

My weekend job is a cab driver. It's less than a 10 minute drive from my house to the garage. From there I usually drive about 175-200 miles a night shuttling all kinds of people around the city before I call it a wrap between 3 and 5 am..

I don't drive, I take the bus and it takes roughly 3 1/2 hours to get to my college. (Not talking about work)

Kittehs!

1.5hr round trip here.

55km each way, bad traffic if I have to come home after a morning shift, afternoon shifts are usually a pretty calm drive. Owned my car from new for 2 years now, put 44 000km on the odometer (and for 9 months roughly I have had a company car for daily use). I enjoy driving and taking road trips too, so that doesn't help.

Saying that though, I love to practice the sensible art of hypermiling, car detailing and modification (sounds to be contradictory) though my car is usually 100% spotless, always cared for and protected and averages 5.6L/100km (42 US MPG).

15 minute cycle. I think it's about 5kms/3miles.

I'm sure all and sundry found the preceding factoid utterly fascinating.

36.4 miles each way. I hate it but I was unemployed for 18 months and was very excited to get the job. I live only 20 minutes from my kids so I dont want to move to be closer to work. Once I'm done with school I'll find a job closer to where I live and save myself almost 2 hours a day of driving. Only a few more months of this.

Steven.

It's only about a mile away, so I usually walk.

I'll drive if I need to go somewhere straight from work, or if I'm planning to meet someone for lunch or something.

I would lose my shit if I had to drive the long commutes that some of you endure. How do you do it?

(Eight minutes down an avenue crowded with trees.)

It's about 15 minutes for me to get to work, so not too far. A lot better than the hour drive I used to drive to get to school.

About 6 miles, and usually takes 45 mins. Thankfully I hope to be working from home during the Olympics.

I don't drive to work, I fly. It takes 4hr.23min. In the winter, it can take over 5hr. to get home, head winds you know.

I bicycle or walk to work, a bit over half a mile one way.
