Dogma. The whole premise of the papacy is the apostolic succession. It is a basic tenet for all episcopal governed denominations. What is bound here is bound there.

The real question is how the Presbyterians will denounce Trump, supposedly one himself, since they are far to the left and are no doubt working against him even now, to little effect obviously.

Believable. In fencing, what the Pope did is known as a feint. Trump parried rashly, making him look bad yet again, and US Catholics were watching. For Trump, it is the same old, same old: say something crude or outrageous, steal a free headline, and the next day either deny the original meaning or repeat it in denial enough times to give it lots more exposure. In this case, the avowal of religion for the Fundamentalist vote already was attacked by the darlings of the religious right. If Trump were to get nominated, they would stay home quicker than when a Mormon was the hope of the GOP.

It's humour, and Trump....and of course, Telstra....I am certain that the USA would accept Telstra in the Immigration Service, in the blink of an eye....if only for the benefit of his experience examining penises....:)

These reporters should ask these sorts of questions like on this forum to lighten up the world.

He's an Argentine therefore unlikely to be cut. Prior to entering the seminary he had a relationship with a woman. I don't know her, therefore cannot address the question to her whether Francis is cut, or uncut.

I am sure the parents of the Pope were good Catholics, and thus kept to the rulings of the Council of Jerusalem and the 11th Council of Florence, understanding that baptism has superseded circumcision.
