How Immigration facilitates racial discrimination.

I'm honestly stumped by this logic.

Anytime one person in the workforce loses a job, if someone else of a different race is hired to do a different job or a job with different qualifications... you believe racial discrimination has taken place?

I'm honestly sincerely torn at times if conservatives are simply bent on always painting discrimination as something other than what it actually is, or if, as your post implies, they sincerely don't even understand what it is.

The problem we are discussing from the two links given involve groups of qualified employees being fired to be replaced by people brought in from India, and being required to train the replacements. They are not instances of different jobs and different qualifications.

Ah, the people who are notoriously paid absolute dirt on the same credentials as a Native born?

Well the motivation there is quite obvious. And it isn't to comply with laws that don't even exist "requiring" hiring either immigrants or minorities over anyone else.

Do you believe that by continuing to repeat this unfounded assertion it will one day become true?

You know if you repeat the lie often enough it becomes the truth. Or so I've heard. That is also something like I've heard.

..
You are probably right that the salary and benefit burdens are a primary motive, but since the laid off people were replaced by members of a differen race it has a discriminational effect.

But isn't the wage race to the bottom part of the Republican Party platform that you so zealously support?

Or is it the fear that these new workers are not part of the old white man's party and may have enough brains to vote something other than straight party ticket?

^ That's why Republicans have to MAKE SURE THAT THEY CANNOT VOTE if they're here legally. Or, in Texas, if they're in college. (And illegal immigrants don't vote, anyway!)

I suppose that's where the strange completely opposite-reality claims come in that Obama is herding in record numbers of them and citizen-izing them. (Somehow.)

If you have ready anything I have said, you would know that the opposite is true. One of my major objections to immigration is that cheap labor pulls down the wage scale for all those with specialized education and skills, while relegating Americans, including minorities, to the permanently poor and unemployed.

So you want no one to immigrate -- legal or illegal? We should all become the Duggars and just create 19 and counting families?

Or do you support your trickle down theory that those at the top will wonderfully shower all of those below them with millions and millions of dollars, all the while employing more and more of those of us fortunate to find ourselves in the US borders? I guess your delusion omits the fact that trickle down does not work; that those with millions have only wanted to get more millions (granting themselves outlandish salaries that would make Carnegie blush); that corporations have more cash than at any time in history yet have not saw fit to trickle any down to the masses; and that those at the top -- your heroes -- are the ones that employ immigrants (illegally and legally) and escape with no consequences and are rewarded with even higher salaries and compensation.

And it is the Republican plan -- try to hold on to the old white male so they might retain some control because anyone with sense or other thoughts would never join. I see you posted at 5:07 a.m. -- must be RNC is working overtime!

Unable to grasp or discuss the issues, you can only hurl insults.

When one cannot dispute the facts, turn to "unable to grasp or discuss the issues, you can only hurl insults." Still waiting of your Republican plan. Facts are not overcome by your baseless accusations and throwdowns. I realize that you are used to FAUX news where you are never critiqued or questioned; but produce facts. Until then, you re BS blowin' in the wind!

Ben is a pristine example of what we would have called, during the Bush years, a Neocon style Republican/groupthinker. Choose the conclusion you want, then work backwards and simply interpret or make up reality and facts to support that conclusion, or refuse to consider ANY facts other than in a slant which supports the prechosen conclusion. Desired conclusion: Democrats are more responsible than greed and increased profit margins for corporations outsourcing labor, work backwards. Democrats have a secret plan to mass empower immigration to "create" more Democrats at the polls, work backwards. ("Obama lets in way more of them than anyone else", similar claims out of nowhere.)

Notice the inconsistency in your thinking. You say outsourcing is for greed and increased profit margins, BUT all the burdens imposed by democrats on businesses have absolutely nothing to do with it. I have never said that corporations do not leave for profits, indeed that is implicit in my blaming of the democrat burdens, since they operate by impacting profits. Unlike you, I do not equate profits with greed. Business operate for profits, and without them no one would build a business or hire and employee. If the profit motive drives outsourcing, maybe the democrats should not be so hostile to profits.
Immigrants have historically since 1865 tended to vote democrat as hispanics in particular do. They were widely credited credited with swinging the election to Obama in 2012. Leading up to the election, he illegally allowed young illegals to stay. After that, amnesty and a road to citizenship for 11+Million invaders became a priority of Obama. Obama changed to definition of "deport" to include anyone turned away at the border, thus obscuring his easing of the entry. You apparently believe all this is a coincidence, the happy but intended consequence of altruistic policies. It is not.
BUT, without regard to the intention, the massive influx of poor immigrants voting for one party and against capitalism/free enterprise/business, dooms our economy and our democracy--and soon.

Oh Ben. What it must be like to live in your head.

You are right it is great. Eat your heart out.

There appears to be plenty of room in your head since there is little else. We are still waiting for the grand comprehensive Republican Immigration Reform bill and your answer on how we will make up the purchasing void caused when we send every immigrant back out of the country -- legal or illegal.

I am glad that you are in favor of Hillary's Free College Program, increasing funding for Public Schools, and increasing funding for pre-school and other education. We will need it to make up the void in needed engineers and other highly skilled people that businesses in the US need to compete on the global stage. The US is not turning out enough of them (likely because of the huge costs students must fund with debt) and so legal immigrants fill the void. We can probably turn it around with the support I hear coming from you.

Also, I see in your posts that you don't even hide the fact that it is Hispanics you loathe (see post prior to this). You may want to do some research (again, not your strong suit) and find out that King Georgie won his race because he attracted more of these folks. However, I think they learned the lesson of supporting Republicans that people like GoProud learned -- you are welcome to vote, you are welcome to send in your money but then sit in the back and try to stay in the shadows.

If logic actually worked on you, I would explain for the 50th time why a position that "the $3 employers can save by avoiding Democrat workplace policies is more to blame for outsourcing than the $30,000 employers can save by avoiding hiring anyone at first world wages" makes no sense, no matter how much you want it to be true, and no matter how much you want to redirect the focus away from the real issue and make it (like everything else in the entire world) the direct result of a plot by Democrats.

Logic, of course, does NOT work on you. But that doesn't mean there is absolutely anything "inconsistent" with my blaming of the modern global economy as being almost exclusively greed and profit margin motivated-- which it is. And this is a global trend, so the idea that Democratic policies affecting corporate operations within the domestic U.S. is anything more than a drop in the bucket of variables at work is bunk. Just your usual attempts to tell us not to talk about issues in the reality based community because the conspiracy theory driven Democrats are out to destroy the world theories are far more important in Ben's head.

You can repeat this crap all you like and it will remain a circumstantial argument demanding we selectively apply different conclusions, given Bush and Reagan's histories with immigration and ignoring the enormous economic gain reaped by conservative business interests which do not want undocumented labor to leave the country and have no interest in seriously curtailing it.

I don't know what entity or organization pays you for spreading right wing talking points on the internet, but you're really very bad at it, and your logic is both very far from convincing and very far from anything any intelligent person would recognize as logic. You wish to direct every conversation away from reality and into a realm where we routinely disregard the patently obvious and more significant conservative self-interest driving almost everything negative in our society so that we can stop and talk about conspiracy theories of how "Dems really planned it all out this way to make greedy conservatives look bad..."

I your rant were true, all jobs which could possibly be outsourced would have been outsourced by now. But to a company considering outsourcing, there are cons as well as pros. We should give them fewer reasons to leave.
