How is spinach affecting your life?

I really couldn't care less... it's not like I own a spinach farm, and there are a hundred other greens one can eat instead (if one ate greens... I can't stand cooked greens, and raw greens are relatively pointless, so I stick to broccoli and asparagus).

But I always enjoy when people get their panties in an uproar over some contamination and throw everything out. I don't know why I find it so funny. People getting sick or dying isn't funny, of course, but the hysteria caused by it makes me giggle. Groupthink is always comic.

I work in the food service industry. We pulled all the spinach from the company stores, and ask customers if they want to substitute a topping in place of the spinach. Its a pain, but at least the customers understand and aren't confused by it.

As a person of Sicilian background, I love all greens. Spinach is but one of many greens that I love to get.

No spinach right now? No problem... this a good time for the many varieties of lettuce. I happen to be very fond of escarole and endive in salads, (which I also serve cooked...delicious cooked, drained and fixed with salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil).

I also love fresh rappi, turnip and or mustard greens. Mustard greens, especially, are very much like a more bitter tasting spinach. I love bitter greens. When I cook them and fix them with olive oil, salt and pepper, they tend to mellow out a little.

Yeah, what Ronboy said.

There are lots of greens--cooked or uncooked. Escarole, endive/chicory, kale... it's all good.

I don't eat much Spinach by itself but I usually like the Spring Mix or Field Greens blends which do have spinach in them. But it hasn't impacted me at all. When they get it all straightened out it will all be on the shelves again. But as a consumer I want to know how it happened and whom was responsible for the mishap and what is going to be done to assure the public that it won't happen again. This kind of crap shouldn't be happening with the supposed elite processing we have today..........#-o

I hate spinach, always have....so I'd have to say the whole mess does not affect me in the least. I do feel sorry for those who have suffered because of it.
