Heard a guy saying he got tested for STD's but not HIV. Said extra paperwork was needed for HIV test, and that if he didn't have any other STD's he wouldn't have HIV either......

Also said he gave blood once a year to Red Cross and they checked the blood for HIV, but they had never contacted him about any disease, so he claims to be HIV free.

Seems to be "out there" reasoning to me.

Thoughts, Kara and others.
 
Seeing how hiv testing is free in most places his claim seems like total bull to me.
 
Yeah I the UK I do it via free postal service. Seems really dodgy reasoning
 
Anytime someone gives me too much information, I suspect that they're not telling the truth.

On the other hand, if someone tells me "I had my HIV test last week and it was negative", then I would say, "That's great. Now here's a condom for you to put on".

In the end, it's better to assume everyone has something and insist on safer sex.
 
Just like politicians, the more someone says "Trust me" the more suspicious I am.

There's no extra paperwork for an hiv test. I got tested for various sti's and hiv a month and a half ago - I did the rapid testing, takes fifteen minutes or so for the results.

Also, giving blood and expecting them to automatically call you is bullshit - blood testing isn't perfect, and some people do get through because hiv antibodies will take a minimum of several months to come into being.

Yes, exactly! Keeping the damn condoms in use (among other things) is how people - stay - sti negative down there. Also keeps genital herpes from spreading, since a hell of a lot of people have one of the various 'cold sore' viruses and just don't know it.
