I've never had sex with another person, and that's been nearly 51 years so far. I don't expect to ever have sex with a partner at this point. It's just too late for that now...

Over the past year or two, I overcame severe anxiety / depression, came out, experienced dating men, resumed my studies (which I deferred due to anxiety), lived in a different state with a different job, worked to change my body from unreasonably skinny to fairly muscular, and (among many other things) essentially reestablished a new outlook on life which resulted in a level of confidence and self-assurance I had never even imagined before.

During all of this, as I came to JUB, I would see you telling yourself and everybody else that it's 'just too late for you'.

Over a year ago you were telling yourself "it's too late". In another year's time are you going to be saying the same thing? What about in five years? Ten? You can sit there feeling sorry for yourself, or you can finally step the fuck up and actually do something to change how you feel.

Get out of your comfort zone, try something new; scare yourself. Explore your hobbies; find new hobbies. Get involved in charity work or social groups. Meet new people, make a contribution. I notice you're still listed as curious, explore your sexuality! Understand it; own it. Have you actually tried dating? Or are you simply dismissing it as a possibility?

First and most importantly though, seek professional assistance for your obvious depression, because that's always a good start, and nothing's going to change unless you take steps towards improving it. You may need help to get started, and a little along the way, but that's perfectly fine.

Take it from someone who once felt so worthless that he refused to leave the house. He didn't want anyone in public, especially anyone he knew personally, to see how utterly pathetic he was.

Want to know what his first step was? Standing just outside his back fence with his hood on for five minutes, visible as a silhouette (and at a distance) to two or three people at the neighbouring park, absolutely fucking terrified of what they thought of him.

That was me just two years ago.

So stop complaining, wake up, and take the first step, how ever small it may be, and build on it. It's sure as fuck not going to be easy, but unless you're going to cark it in the next five minutes, it's not too late.
