I'm a creature of habit and a slave to routine. If I'm in the habit of checking certain websites daily, then I'll become restless and frustrated should my internet drop out around the time I typically use it. If I have a busy period and it breaks the habit though, I tend to create a new routine for myself independent of the internet and can go months without really checking anything but my email.
I could adapt to living without it completely I'm sure, but as the internet doesn't affect my life in a negative way at all, it'd be a bit of a pointless sacrifice.

I don't need it all the time like when I'm out (not one of those persons looking at their phones all the time) but usually in the few hours before bed and first thing in the morning I do need it. I guess it's a habit but also a way to keep informed and connected. since I don't text all the time and do stuff on a phone. The OP should have also asked: "how long can you go without your phone"....
