  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How long is your daily commute?

One hour there one hour back, thankfully the bus stops right outside both doors.

5 minutes, and that's with a stop at the drive through for coffee.

Well it depends on the train running or not - without its quicker as my partner is just forced to drop me, with its about 30-40 mins.

bout 20 minutes, but i get in when i feel like it, if i go at all....i'm NOT going today

A 20-second walk to my outbuilding, where my office is.

On days that I have to mail packages, 7 minutes each way to the Post Office.

On days where I need to deal with merchandise not yet processed/listed and do sorting, which is usually done between May and early September, it can be as much as 10 minutes each direction.

Used to be anywhere between 35 minutes and a little over an hour for a 21 mile one way trip. There was NO fast way. Hated it.

Starting Nov. 3, about a 3 minute drive or a 12 minute walk, should I decide to walk. (!) :D

If you are talking about from home to office, about 20 minutes, but I rarely stay at the office all day. I have places to go, things to do and people to see that takes me anywhere and everywhere. I am however, directionally challenged, so I either make someone drive me or I rely completely on my navigation system to tell me to "turn here, you idiot!".

Before I retired it took about 20 minutes to drive to work in the morning, the drive home was 30-45 minutes as there was much more traffic in the evening.

In Internet inches, probably around 76 feet.

It used to be a walk to the trainstation, wait for the train, ride on the train, arrive and wait for the bus, get on the bus and arrive at my destination, which varies 1hr and 15 mins to an hour and a half. Then the same in reverse back home.

Now somewhere else, it's theoretically 10 minutes by car max, assuming no traffic and green light all the way there. In practice it can take up to 20 mins by car, but I have been know to walk in and that takes 35 minutes.
