  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How many books do you own?

I would rather know what people are reading and what they think about those books.

Although this reminds me I need to put Borges in my queue.

How many? No idea, but the last time I had them all on shelves I had 128 feet of shelves filled -- and that was after I donated a pile of books to the library of the church just down the street; that was probably another 30 feet worth.

But I have about 400 on my Nook right now -- history, historical fiction, science, science fiction, some fantasy, and a few other odds and ends.

I need to put Borges in my queue.

I'm really surprised how many books some people have.

I'm really aghast about what sort of books so many people have.

"Genre"? You mean truly "genre", or "sort" of "metaphysical thought": Descartes, Leibniz, Schopenhauer, Heidegger... you can't go wrong following the bigger "classics" to plunge in utter, totally clueless rubbish about the subject in question.

I am guessing that deep down inside you probably really like Shirley MacClaine...alot....so I will see if Shirley has anything new...or old...and I shall think of you every time I pick up the book..|....

...or maybe Shakti Gawain?...or both!\:/

I quite like Jiddu Krishnamurti...I assume you do as well?

Can recommend Borges. Like it very much.
Quality above quantity, but I guess quantity can be a quality on its own.

Yep. One of his stories is like some other writers' entire novels.

It's nice to see we're all upsetting Belamo together. He likes that.

It's... ... to see you all still delude yourselves about your power of influence on me...
