My best friend in high school outright rejected me when I came out to him.

How about you?

I came out to an old "friend" that I have known since 1966, he stopped talking to me.

It would be too depressing to count them all, but it was a lot, including my best friend who would never talk to me again.

My mom and I no longer speak. And I haven't seen my brother in years. Oh, well, their loss. I'm spending far too much time trying to better myself and put myself through college to care. I've come to the realization that I don't need people in my life who are just going to hold me back, and make me feel less than.

A few aunts, uncles and cousins.....

No big loss. The most important people in my life (my dad, brother, and sister-in-law) accept and love me for who I am.

Rejected or disowned me? None, it was the other way around.

I have posted on here many times about just how homophobic they are/were.

Family or not, i will not tolerate such hate from "blood".

None. They never had the chance. They all died before I ever even knew them.

No one close to me has rejected me yet.

Only my parents know and they accepted it within a few minutes of me coming out to them, much to my great relief and surprise.

Time will tell if I'll be rejected by other family members and/or friends when I tell them (hopefully not).

I voted 0 because while there were some that did not approve when I came out they didn't reject me either.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, had it the hard way. His very holy and christian parents, who will undoubtedly go to heaven for their very christ-like act, kicked him out of the house when he was 15 after they found out he was gay.

It was the other way around for me too. I rejected them when they came out as Republican. One brother even listened to Rush Limbaugh every day - the Horror!! :grrr:
