How many DVD's are too much?

Same goes with DVDs, they can get scratches or be stolen.

Your entire collection might get scratched, but it's unlikely.

And yes, someone might steal your whole collection. But it's quicker and easier to make off with a 2.5" external than a shelf of 300 disks!

Sleeping Beauty
Twilight
Showboat
The Ten Commandments
Gone With The Wind
Cleopatra
The Boys in the Band
Death Note
All Seven Seasons of Buffy

Um, no offence but if they're your ten best, then I shudder to think what the rest were.

Twilight was designed to be, and was, like a teenage girl's wank: unwatchable, dull and anti-climactic.

The list gets worse from there.

I don't have many...just one bookshelf full, three racks. And even then, the bulk of them is made up of DVD boxsets of TV shows...

i only have a few with me right now like:
-forbidden kingdom
-boondock saints
-eagle eye
-lets go to prison
-anger management
-dark knight
-the departed
-superbad
-the covenant
-the mask
-repo! the genetic opera
-jumper
-howl's moving castle
those are just the ones that i have immediately accessible. i have about 75 more in storage, and i work at a video store so my collection is always growing. i never realized that i had so many until i was packing them away from moving out of my dorm room.

Usually I just get rid of them every few years by trading them in at the media store here. They don't give you much for used DVD's cause it's almost old technology know with everything slowly going over to blueray...same with CD's...why not get some current ones at a redused price by trading in what you never really watch/listen to any mo

Great post.

I traded mine in for gas money last summer. Took in about 30 discs and came out with 80 bucks.
