These are the responses I got from two adminstrators:
1,238 currently valid accounts report their gender as female.
That represents less than 1 percent of all currently valid accounts. (The percentage is probably more informative than the total.)
There's another 674 who are transfemale.
On a related note... I think these 4 options were brought over from vB. They seem a bit dated.
