Somewhere around here should be a RCA Lyra - I liked it cause you can put SD chips in it to expand the memory. Does it count that I don't use it anymore due to getting an iPod?

I've got a $45 Sony Walkman that plays mp3 CDs. Each CD can hold roughly 150-200 songs. I've got mp3 CDs of jazz, classical, modern rock, plus some with pop hits from one certain years (1984, 1961, 1992). Pretty low-tech, but it works well for me, and I don't have to worry about either adding songs to it (I can just make another CD) or losing the data (since it's all on disc).

Same here as well. So you're not alone when it comes to low-tech players. I used to have a digital camera a few years ago that could allow loading of music on the memory card besides photos and it could play mp3 files too. Limit of how many songs depended on how big the memory card was.

I have just bought a sunstech sumo 2gb Iam amazed how light it is and i have coverted all my mp3 music in to wma. I get shed loads of music on there and it does comes with a mains charger
