  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How many of you have gay relatives, be it immediate or extended family?

several on my paternal grnadmother's side.

and at least one of my cousin's kids is in the closet...

But I am the only out and open homo hanging around our family tree.

My youngest cousin on my mother's side of the family, is as queer as a 3 Dollar bill at a pride parade. Nobody needed an official coming out to figure it out.

None....But I do have a married brother with kids who loves to decorate the house and put potpourri here and there. Just throwing that out there.

There are four siblings in my nuclear family. Two sisters and I are gay. Mom's side of the family- her brother gay, two of my cousins on her mother's side are gay. Father's side - two gay cousins on dad's father side. Our parents are gone, but they were accepting of us. Straight relatives know about some of us and are accepting.:=D:

Don't know, don't care. I have absolutely zero interest in my 'family', immediate, extended, or otherwise.

2 sisters, myself. Mom's side- her brother, two cousins. Dad's side- two cousins.

^is it because you waived your tail in front of him ? :)

I literally can't even remember what he looked like. If he had struck my fancy, I woulda given him the tail flick. But apparently he didn't. Just as well - it might have been distracting having the gargoyle loudly banging the brother of the groom up in the belfry during the ceremony. :)

The only one I know of that might be is my cousin. Never knew of him to date and he has had a “roomate” for years. Funny thing is our first names are only one letter different and our middle names are the same.

No one in my family, however my partner has a second-cousin-once-removed and a great uncle.

Biological relation - a great-uncle. As a young child (in the 1960s), I just assumed I had two uncles living together and didn't understand they were a couple. Later, I was very glad to have someone to come out to, especially since I could ask how the rest of the family might react.
Some people think my nephew is too (based on fitting a lot of stereotypes), but he hasn't shown interest in men. There's also the son (or maybe he's a step-son) of my sister-in-law's sister, who married a man, so that one is definite.

Me & my female cousin are gay ; so is my 1/2 brother from my dads second marriage

Only myself and one cousin are gay, out of a very large extended family on both sides.

Funny thing is: I remember having a crush on him back when I was about 10!

My mom was the 2nd oldest of 7 kids - her older brother was gay.
One of my younger cousins on that side is out and proud - got married the day SCOTUS made it legal - before IN went to court to get a stay for a while.

Our older daughter is bi, as is her BF.

I would have sworn another, even younger cousin was based on mannerisms, but then he got married and they just had son #2.

I have a cousin (the oldest son of the oldes sister of my father, has 22 years older than me) who is gay and a catholic priest.

My mother has a cousin who is gay and has a husband and child. Maybe more than one child at this point. I’m sure there are others I don’t know about.

There are a few people I suspect in my family I suspect but don’t for sure.
