  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How many paper towels do you use?

I dont use paper towels. I use cloth kitchen and dish towels and wash them.

I don't like the idea of killing trees just to wipe off the windows and countertops.

I'd say we use up a roll every ten days. Grandmother uses them a lot more than I do, of course, since I very seldom cook or clean... and I prefer to use a cloth towel for most things. Grandmother usually will use one towel twice, and I'll use it until it's all wet, before throwing it in the compost bin.

OH man I use a ton. I'm not stingy about using them either I will grab it for any little thing. I usually buy big packs though that last a lot.

I go through a lot of toilet tissue, that's for sure. I often tend to save a lot of my Paper Towels though. If one part of the towel gets dirty or is used, I'll just rip that piece off and save the rest.

I don't buy any "kleenex" or other tissues, I always use TP to blow my nose. Hella cheaper and all that! And it works just as well.

It takes me four to seven months to go through a roll of paper towels, perhaps even close to a year sometimes. Other than spills, and for foods that need oil to be drained from them (such as French fries and the like), I just don't use them much at all.

Very few, buy bulk 8 roll pack lasts a year.

I use cloth hankies, dish cloths etc...which I have to wash all the time.

Enviromentally which is better...?

I do not know.

I use a shameful amount. I think once you use a sponge or other reuseable wipe that it's always filthy. Therefore, I never use them.

I don't know.

But I know in public bathrooms I have to use two to dry my hands.
