  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

How many PRIDEs have you been to?

I went to the one in Manhattan about 10 years ago, but I would never go again. It was probably the loneliest experience of my life. I didn't have anyone to go with me, and I just stood there watching all of these floats and marchers go by. I so desperately wanted someone to talk to me, but nobody would.... Sorry for being depressing..

Hm I always found it easier to talk to people at Pride events than at any other time. It is a guaranteed party

None but I would LOVE to go to one... but I don't have that perfect chiseled body so I would probably have a bad time there. Oh well, I would ogle the GOD-like muscular bodies though.

I highly recommend Las Vegas, NV's and Portland, OR's.

Las Vegas' is the most friendly I have ever been to and with the hottest guys. Portland's is by far the largest I have been to.
Too bad they're so far away
I bet that Vegas is one in particular quite a show/event! I'm sure that'd be awesome to attend!
Portland should be good too :)
Largest I've been to is Denver - which is supposedly 3rd largest in the US, If that's actually true (a bit hard to believe since its nowhere near 3rd largest US city), I wonder what #1 and #2 are? New York? San Francisco?

Just go!
Majority of the people I've seen when I went are ... basically just what you'd see at any other event. In other words average everyday people.

Dozens, if not over 100
Wow!
I could never even come close to that . LOL

Is the OP talking about the actual gay parade? Or other stuff during pride weekend. I've only attended the actual gay pride maybe 4 our five times. But I do tend to go downtown during the pride weekend for the sex tons of foreigners in Toronto during that time. Not into the whole parade bullshit been there done that.

I wonder where these muscle queens come from? I rarely see these guys during the rest of the year yet during pride you see tons. But I wonder if these guys are not even gay or just models hired by floats to sell their product? So much of Pride these days is product placement selling stuff than the actual activism.

Keep them in mind. You may get to visit some day.

 So do you actually try to recruit people into this kind of lifestyle?

One of the more interesting JUBbers revealed to us this week that his heart has been broken by a bisexual.

Of course we recruit. You know the saying, "Bi now, gay later"? That's our work. You're welcome ..|.
As for the heart break, yeah that is tough, but even gay guys break hearts every day, so it could go either way. But our Jubber was a gentleman about it :king:. I wish him well.

As much as I hate to admit this, I haven't been to a Pride event yet.

This year shall be the year, though!

Yep will do :)
I should start making a list of 'would be cool to attend' places for if on the rare chance I'm ever there at the right day..

Good to hear!

I've been to two, both deadly dull affairs.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PRIDE!!!

Many years I am fortunate to attend in multiple cities.

Portland pride was mentioned -- and I concur -- I ALWAYS had a BLAST!

I have not ever been to Vegas pride -- but, maybe with a little planning -- I could go next year. It sounds fun!

Portland's PRIDE is always Father's Day Weekend. Las Vegas PRIDE's festival and parade are held either in September or October and to be honest they have events years round.

^COOL!

Maybe I could go THIS year!!!

edit: I like your new username! ..|

Thanks.

If you ever come to Portland's let me know. I go when I can. I would like to meet you if you don't mind.

As for Vegas' I would love to go to theirs again, but I will have to get up the money. One of my favorite Divas dancers is Mr. Las Vegas PRIDE this year. I wish I could go to see him.

So, like they do for Denver PrideFest... Portland PRIDE also picks the worst one of the 4 weekends in June
Ideally it should be done 1 week later, which would also put it closer to June 28 (day the Stonewall riots began)

Portland's PRIDE is on the waterfront. I think the reason it is Father's day weekend is it is the only weekend not booked for something. The waterfront is really busy during the summer months.

Oh yes they do. Old or out of shape and you will find yourself in that category where only a good personality can save you.
