I've got two sets of clippers and four guards with each - I use it on my mustache, too.

Family tends to complain when I do it because it's "too short" - but I'm the one taking care of it - save a lot on shampoo, too.

No, I REALLY couldn't.

I had longer hair in my youth - when I had hair - the 70's and such, but now, it's be practical and screw the vanity - I am NOT "the Donald".

There's the THICKNESS of the individual hair strands to consider - mine is super fine - no body to it.

I use the tapered guides around my ears, front to back, and back to front. Then, I "flair" a No. 4, up form there, and up the back of my neck, to the base of my noggin. After that, it's a No. 6 along my sides, and up the back, to my "Friar's Tonsure". I do the top by grabbing the hair between my fingers, and cutting it with a scissors.

My guides only run 1-4. No 6.

I have guides up to No. 8, which with the tapered ones, makes 10.

I only actually use 4 of them, though.
