I used to wish he had talked to me more when I was growing up.

We kind of bonded when he was dying. I was the only son that would go see him everyday. The good sons were always too busy.

My dad and I are incredibly similar in terms of looks (honestly it's crazy, like we'd be twins if we were the same age), personality, interests, (most) world views, etc. Just about everything and I'm absolutely honored to be so much like him. He's the greatest man I've ever known and my best friend in the world. Corny but totally true.

Okay then other how our relationship went my father was a kind gentle man.

I don't know why we went our separate ways but I think that he did give me the morals and judgement to be a fine man.

I thank him for that but somehow in my young teens he saw something in me that made him uncomfortable.

Maybe being a farmer and me being a city boy had something to do with it.

Maybe it was the same thing the kids at school saw and I didn't see yet that I would grow up to be a gay man.

As far as personal ethics are concerned, I aspire to be a completely polarizing in comparison to my father.

To address personalitys, he is more of a sociable manipulator type, I tend to just do my own thing.

I have my mom's personality but the physical features of my dad. That is definitely a soft point with me. I look at my dad and see the fat piece of crap he has become and that is my motivation to take of my body and health.

I look a lot like my dad, but I also look a lot like my mom. They both have fair features, blond hair, blue eyes, etc. So I turned out kinda like both.

I'm pretty much just like my father. I look the same as him (much thinner, but he was a stick when he was young), I have many of the same interests, I'm similarly sarcastic and unfortunately we're both rather lazy. I, however, have an empathy for other people that he doesn't seem to have. This lack of caring combined with his laziness ends up meaning he doesn't do shit for anyone he doesn't really like (basically, my mother, which is good I guess)... whereas I go out of my way to be nice to everyone.
