OK Guys, this is actually pretty funny:

Ambien is some wonderful stuff. I havent had such great quality sleep in YEARS (im only 19, so i suppose thats not much of a statement. but i digress).

Anyways, Ambien causes a lot of its users to experience anterograde amnesia, where you do not form memories of what you do or see or experience while under the effect of the drug.

Apparently, one night, i happened to make it to my computer and happened to have a particularly...how shall i say this...'sudgestive' image.

Later on that day, when it was just my mother and i in the room, she was like, "Look, were the only ones home. Are you..."

My brain flashed back to that morning, where i remember my mother walking into my room at 5 am to see why i was still up. And then i remembered the picture.

I must have blushed a fire engine shade of red...of course i couldent deny it, so i said yes. And then what did she do!? She shrugged, and said "Its about time, ive suspected for years"

YEARS? OMFG, i about melted into my chair. I didnt think it was that obvious!
Anyways, the good thing is that she welcomed it and didnt throw me out or ridicule me or anything like that.

Moral of the story: LOCK YOUR DOOR

heh, Mom doesn't always know, Totally caught her off guard, still doesn't fully believe me though haven't talked to her in over a year (unrelated reasons).

as for locking the door? DUH! (I don't mean that in a rude way at all), I don't think there was ever a time I didn't think to lock my door 1st! :gogirl:

I don't have a lock on my door so I had to be careful with my Mom. That sucks, but it's funny that she suspected it for years. My Mom had no clue.

lol psycho, i usually do...but i was under the influence of ambien...

talk about being the walking dead, that stuff knocks you out!

Moral of the story - dont take drugs, even prescription ones.

That's probably bad advice for people who have high blood pressure, or are psychotic, or have liver disease, or allergies, or asthma, or...... ..... .....

did i make a point? ;)

It's not exactly bad advice, especially when you have natural remedies and lifestyle changes available to you that you should explore first (especially with sleeping problems). The point is that prescription drugs should always be a last resort.

offtopic:

Cisco,

I would be grateful that this is now out in the open and you no longer have to hide your true self - you can breathe easier now.

Well Ambien isn't what got me in trouble--it was Tequila. I accused my brother-in-law of staring at my ass and then told him to fuck it because I was horny...

It's a good thing that my Dad (who was helping my bro-in-law carry me to the house at the time) accepts it.

I only know this from what my sister tells me. I haven't talked about it with anyone else frankly because I'm scared to death to do so...

My mom always known. She made statements to me about it, like "Your going to mess up your fathers chruch acting that way." or " Oh that is a pretty dress, don't let your father see you in it." The fact is the entire church knew even before I came to grips with it. My father was the last to know, but he is the biggest supporter that I know.

Not really. The vast majority of serious medical problems (insomnia being one of them) are simply not curable with natural remedies. That's why life expectancy 100 years ago was about 40...all they had was natural crap. There is absolutely nothing wrong with prescription drugs as long as you use them carefully and under a doctors supervision.
