How often do you actually go to a cinema?

probably about 5 times a year. Last film I saw at the cinema was Jarhead.

I go about 3 or 4 times a month. We have a movie chain in Austin that serves food and beer with the movie. They have theme nights and show older movies with audience participation. Sometimes they do drive throughs and will bring stars from the movies for Q&A. Recently, they showed Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and had 3 of the stars there signing autographs and interacting with the audience.
The last movie I saw was Little Miss Sunshine.

I go to a cinema every week or two... I like watching on a big screen only movies with special effects and computer grafics. And I like watching DVD as well. Special effects are not as good as on a big screen, but there is no diference for drama.

I rarely go. It's getting too expensive, and unless I really have a need to see it, I'm happy to wait for it to show up on TV.

Hardly ever go. The last movie I saw in a cinema was.........heck I can't remember or when. Sort of difficult to do when living about 150 miles from the nearest town with a movie theater. Have a 62" screen TV and wait until it comes out on DVD and then will watch whatever it is. Have a huge collection of video tapes and DVDs, near 1000 overall. Winters are the prime time for viewing, especially on those days when it is -25 F or colder and of course the days are far shorter. Alaska, yeah gotta love it. Then too in summer it is daylight all the time and sooooooo much to do all the time, no time for TV or movies. (!)

Hardly ever. I think the last movie I saw in a theater was the Titanic remake.

Nope ... don't go to movies. I can't even remember the last time I went .... sometime back in the '80s I'd imagine. I have a nice 61" DPL television with surround sound and a DVD collection with about 1,000 movies ...

I probably see two movies a month. Last one I saw was a comedy about getting into college called "Accepted."

Don't go to the movies all that oten unless there is a good foreign or indie picture. Last movie i saw was "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" starring Sean Penn. He's, in my opinion, the best actor in North America.

I don't go much. I don't like too. I can never enjoy it because people crunch their fucking popcorn too loudly and it irritates me...and then it bugs me so much that it is the only thing I can hear. That and people making comments really loudly...because, I guess you pay the 15 bucks to listen to what is, I gather, "funny" commentary from young assholes.

I went to see Brokeback Mountain when it was out and people would yell "GROSS!" and shit. I wanted to punch them. Now, if you know a movie has gay themes...and you know what it is going to be about and you totally disagree with it...then why go?

Anyway...I have more beef with the cinema, but I will leave it at that.

I prefer going to a movie theatre, I go almost every weekend. DVDs are fine for some flicks but I rather the big screen and being with a crowd. Last one I saw in a theatre was "World Trade Center" at the Ziegfeld in NY

3-5 times a month :|. I love movies, what can I say.

I'm there with you! ..| 3 or 4 a month!

LOVE going to the cinema! At home I can't sit still longer than a half hour!

When I go see a movie for.....there is nothing that needs my attention and I sit and enjoy it.
My husband hates when we watch movies at home cause i'm always saying... "PAUSE!" [-X
Want to see "Wicker Man" this weekend!:=D:

I love movies and I love going to the movie theatre. But I live in a small town. So the movie usually ends up playing here for about 3 weeks....one screen. It sucks. Last movie I saw was Pirates of the (bad speller!) 2: Dead Man's Chest. It was surprising better then the first one.

As for DVD....I was given an old projection tv. It's 54" screen. It's not HDTV, just your old fashion big screen tv. It's cool. Got an okay home theatre setup too. Just need some friends to watch the movies with! :D

Rarely. The last movie I saw at a theater was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I just don't like going. I rather watch movies in the privacy of my own home...in front of my computer...please don't tell the MPAA.

Maybe once a year, and only for big spectacles like "Superman Returns" that demand to be seen on a gigantic screen.

Most of the time I don't like the noisy rude crowds, don't like the plastic commercial atmophere you find at the duplexes, and especially don't like having to sit through 20 odd minutes of commercials for something I paid for.

At home I can see a movie when I want, how I want, as often as I want. And I'm probably in the minority opinion here, but I think film looks better on my video monitor than it does on a cinema screen, where it looks all grainy and washed out. I can customize how an image looks to my own tastes at home, something I can't do at a public screening.

DVD's rule!

I go to the cinema quite frequently. Watched 'Little Miss Sunshine" tonight which was entertaining. I was expecting more because of the hype, but it was alright.

I'll take a theatre over DVD any day.

edit- unless there's cuddling involved.
