We basically clean as we go along, we do have a cleaner who comes to us once a week, she will do things like laundry, changing the beds and ironing. This works for us very well, as we then have more "we" time.

If something is obviously dirty it is not left, but basically we vacuum and do laundry once a week. Kitchen gets wiped down after most uses (some lunch times it is forgotten).

have 2 homes and sure there is always something to do but if u think I'm going to just clean non-stop ---that is never going to happen, but the house always looks great the apartment not so much.:-)

I try to do 20-30 minutes of housework a day, whatever that entails. That includes laundry and dishes and whatever else. Some days I blow it off. I've been doing way too much of that recently - it's been a hectic summer, really - but I'm trying to get back on track.

If my dog would stop pooping on the carpet, then I wouldn't have to clean so much. I know he is old, but damn. Mom might put him down soon because of his back legs and nerve damage.

When I clean, on a busy day with heavy workload, I:

-Vacuum
-Steam clean the living room carpet
-Dishes
-Laundry
-Clean countertops
-Clean out the sink, toilet and tub in my bathroom
-A little light dusting and wiping of the fridge, armoires, table tops, and anything dusty or sticky
-Anything else that comes to mind that needs a few touches

It always gets cleaned, just not by me.

We do it all ourselves but I'm starting to think this is a very smart idea. I'm damn cheap though.

I don't consider doing dishes park of cleaning. I can go a long time without cleaning but I don't leave the dishes without being washed more than occasionally overnight.

Doing the washing up IS a part of it.....but I only hoover the place once a week or even less.

I clean my house, my parents gave me. I think its degrading when somebody can't be bothered to clean up.

Nobody will come in my house with shoes on.
