  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

How often do you shave?

I love clean shaven men. I like to touch guys faces and if they have a good jawline.

I seen some beards and they are just way too long and gross looking
The silliest, grossest trend is boyish plumpy faces growing beards to impossibly try to appear manlier.

I normally shave every day. Once in a while when I was on vacation I wouldn't shave for a day or two. After I retired I tried not shaving every day but have since gone back to almost every day, only occasionally skipping.

I hate shaving so I went to the laser and had it all removed which was about 13 sessions that hurt like a bitch even with numbing cream because this was quite some time ago. I started growing hair again in the past few years so I am doing new laser treatments which are WAY less painful but we will see about the results. I am sure they will be great.

Are they much more painful and bitching than trying to shave every 24 hours when your skin is hypersensitive?
I have so thought of it, but I always considered I should first remove my shoulders' hair (with older age now including the whole back down to da back), because if would be so silly to sport Ansel Elgort's face with Ron Jeremy's back.

Every day, feels good

Every day. I'm very particular about good hygiene, and shaving is part of my morning cleanup.

This is pretty much what I do also now that I'm retired. But I never go out in public unshaven (not counting maybe a drive-up window at a fast food place). I've always had jobs were you were expected to shave everyday. Back when I was in my 20's to 40's I may have skipped shaving when i had two days off in a row. But i always felt better showered and shaved each day. I still have a full head of hair and if I skip a shower for a day my hair looks and feel oily. I've never be a cap/hat wearing kind of guy (to hide a bad hair day).

Every morning after I shower. Sometimes in the evening if I'm going out for a special event and dressing up. My beard is pretty heavy. I like shaving and the feel and ritual of it.

Once a week or so maybe up to 9 10 days its patchy and looks awful but im not going out so who cares? Summer its more because sleeping the stubble rubs my shoulders and chest horribly when sleeping,
