I thought their 2012 doomsday predictions had already been thoroughly debunked. The only danger most of us will be exposed to in 2012 is being murdered by our neighbors during armed home invasion robberies, if the current recession turns into a massive depression.

Well, as explained in the video...it's traveling 60000 feet per second. That's hypersonic speed...you wouldn't even see it hit the Earth. You would instantaneously incinerate if you were anywhere near it.

Yeah I know that, but the way his comment was worded in response to the question posed by the thread implied something else. As he was basically saying that he wouldn't "care" if his life ended at age 46, since he wouldn't be aware of the impending destruction. Maybe he thinks he'll have advanced Alzheimer's disease by that age. Or maybe he's going to inherit a lot of money and buy one of these cold war bunkers to live underground for the rest of his life:
