How Spears/Aguilera/Madonna and other popstars were made

This applies to most of the post-Britney pop stars. She was the first manufactured pop star, if you could say that. She was then followed by Christina, Jessica, and a shit load of other less talented "singers."

That's how Paris Hilton's voice was helped along, not how the "popstar" was made. I can see how Britney or Christina did it...but still not sure about Paris.

Either way, its the product I'm getting, it's the product I care about. Ah the beauty of being a recording artist...

Hey that was really interesting to watch!
Now we know how Paris Hilton's album was made!
On Christina's second MTV Diary that came out 4 years ago she showed how she got some help from the computer to help her with the Alicia Keys song "Impossible." They would take the best bits of each line and the computer would edit it into one amazing take. Unfortunately for people like Britney or Paris, Christina is able to perform all her material live so it doesn't really matter how she splices everything up in the studio......

Kuja, I do have to defend Christina and Jessica though. They can sing, they have tremendous voices. They may be helped out a bit with digital technology, but if you hear them live, they can actually perofmr, unlike Britney.

Especially when she tries too hard (ie. accompanies herself on the piano).

When they start "auto-tuning" live performances (live), it'll start getting ridiculous...

Britney-- yes, she has no talent. She can't sing, she can't write. She does nothing.

Christina, no way in hell. The woman can sing live. Madonna, no way. Madonna made her career. No one found her and gave it to her. She played instruments and did it the hard way. She writes her stuff as well. She gives her collaborators full credit regardless.

Britney, brit

"Mama's not coming home tonight" that song rocks.

Every artist even Mariah gets a lil help in the studio.

Leave Britney alone. She has never, ever claimed to be Celine Dion, infact in one interview she said she wished she could reach notes like they could but she can't but does the best what what she was blessed with.

Britney is an overall performer/entertainer.

I'd like to see Mariah nail all of Britney's chereography, but she can't do that. But people dont pay to see Mariah dance and sing, just to sing.

Arenas are sold out for Britney because her fans like the entire package, song, dance, persoanlity you name it Britneys got it.

I think Aguilera started out pretty much manufactured, when it came to her image, and her music (Not her voice). Everything after her fifth record everything was 100% her.

Britney...it took her a while longer. I think she started to get a bit more involved around her third or fourth album.

@newbow12: Mariah doing Britney's choreography. I'd pay to see that.

That's an interesting clip.

It seems like everyone's doing it. Remember Cassie from last summer? "Me&U" was a hot song, but everyone caught on that she couldn't sing. It's amazing how her voice was manipulated to create an album.

Still, I think these things are bound to happen. Music evolves along with technology.
