Way to reinforce stereotypes for gay people. This live talking Ken doll, who looks like a lesbian by the way, is trying to tell people "how to be gay"... and on a budget.

Not all gay people like to wear trendy "cute" underwear and I've never seen anyone wear these "jorts" or whatever the fuck he's talking about. I have seen some guys try to pull off the male capri look and it's pretty bad, no matter who's wearing it.

Anyway, it's videos like this that make this guy an annoying twat. You're not a spokes person for the gay community so stop trying to be.

I have met him in person and he is extremely friendly and likable.

As for the video... He's having fun... I don't see how this is "reinforcing stereotypes" He was just providing helpful tips on how to look stylish if you don't have a lot of money.

I somewhat agree with that. If he's being himself, that's fine and he can be who he wants. It just irritates me that he's trying to teach an audience "how to be gay".

Imagine how stupid it would look if a black person made a video saying "how to be black" and was discussing who the latest rap artists are and where to get baggy jeans at discount prices.


PS: The drag queen in the video has more personality in his penis than Davey does in his entire body and was actually a lot more likable.

I find his voice annoying, but then I just look at his nipples and it's all better. The drag queen had about as much camera presence as a wet mop. And the whole "jorts" thing irked me... those are Capri pants, you ignorant fetuses, and the things you've been calling Capri pants are clamdiggers, and that just pisses me off for no good reason whatsoever. Besides, if you need instructions on how to cut a pair of jeans into shorts, you probably shouldn't be handling scissors.

As to him saying this is how to be gay, perhaps a better title would be "How to be Fabulous on a Budget," or "How to be a Chelsea Boy on a Budget," in which case nobody other than his core audience would have seen the video. The nerve of him trying to inject a little humor into his video to make it more attention-grabbing! He should be beaten with a wet bichon frise and made to shop at Wal-Mart!

As to reinforcing gay stereotypes... well, you know, there are so many stereotypes that it's impossible to not step into one or two as you go, just by being out. And these are not negative stereotypes... Davey isn't a cruel bitch, nor is he obviously drugged out, nor is he a self-loathing basket-case. He's a bubbly little gym-rat who talks with his hands and has something to say and a video camera with which to say it, who's caught our ephemeral attentions and is enjoying his fifteen minutes of fame.
