I doubt anyone would disagree.
But, as I said in post #16, it's a matter of convenience. If you are willing to sacrifice convenience - if you don't mind packing a diaper bag for your laptop- have at it.
Sometimes people on the go like to grab up one unit and go.
Better hotels have Bose speakers you can Bluetooth your laptop to so it's not necessarily sacrificing convenience. Otherwise just use a good headset. It really doesn't take up that much room.
But compared to tablets and smartphones laptops have pretty decent speakers.
